Two of Saint Paul's First Grade students, Arianna Boreman and Riley Whitcomb, recently entered writing submissions for the 2014 WEDU PBS Writers Contest. Out of over 80 entries, Arianna won first place in the First Grade category of writing for her story, "I Found Some Gold," and Riley won first runner-up for his story, "The Prince Who Saved the Day."
On May 29, 2014 our Third Grade students participated in their annual Wax Museum. This is a fun and educational event that the students produce in the Gymnasium of Saint Paul's School. For this project, each student is required to choose a person or character, either alive or deceased, to emulate. They must research this person, provide factual information about his/her life, create a poster board about him/her, and then the students must dress up as this character and go "on display" in the Gymnasium as if they were an actual wax piece in a museum.
Out of thousands of DEN (Discovery Educator Network) Stars, Saint Paul's School Fifth Grade teacher, Karen Zilhaver, received the coveted DENthusiasm award for her work on the DEN Leadership Council.

An extraordinary combination of community, tradition and academic excellence, Saint Paul’s provides an unparalleled foundation for the future. At Saint Paul’s you can feel the power of a truly exceptional learning environment the moment you set foot on our campus. You can see it in the eager smiles and engagement of our students; experience it in the passionate intellects and mentoring hearts of our teachers; and hear about it from generations of alumni and families for whom Saint Paul’s served as a touchstone in lives of remarkable fulfillment and success, one that remains so long after they graduate. Our students may graduate from Saint Paul’s after 8th grade, but the Saint Paul’s experience stays with them for a lifetime.
