This annual fundraiser evolved from the "Picnic Under the Oaks" which began in 1991 thanks to the hard work and vision of that year's PTA committee. Through the years, the money earned from this important event has enabled the PTA to fund performing arts programs, purchase new playgrounds, furnish foreign language labs, refurbish Dimmitt Hall, purchase computers for the technology center and individual classrooms, update and maintain athletic equipment and fulfill faculty wish lists.
