Saint Paul’s School is truly a
family community, and like all families, we love to celebrate!
Here are just a few of the ways that students, parents and faculty
share in the fun!
Grandparent’s Day Students
from Pre-K 3 through Fifth Grade look forward to “entertaining their
elders” each fall during our annual music program dedicated to
grandparents. Each grade performs, with additional skits, poems,
and even prizes for the grandparents who travel the greatest distances!
Following the program, grandparents are invited to visit to the
children’s classrooms.
Lessons and Carols Every year, families look forward to beginning the Christmas season with our traditional "Lessons and Carols" service.
Adapted from "The Festival of Lessons and Carols" first sung in Truro
Cathedral on Christmas Eve in 1880. All grades bring the holiday
spirit to life through choral offerings, solos and musical
arrangements. Eighth Grade "Lifers" (those students who have
attended Saint Paul's since at least kindergarten) weave "lessons" or
scripture readings thoughout the program.
May Day The
gym is always packed with camera-clad parents as students in
Pre-K 3 through Fourth Grade perform dance numbers at this spring
event. The highlight is always the traditional May Pole Dance that is
performed by the Fifth Grade. This colorful event is coordinated
through the Physical Education Department.
