Saint
Paul’s School is governed by
a volunteer group of trustees. These individuals are elected by the
existing Board of Trustees for an initial one-year term and are
eligible to be re-elected for two three-year terms. In addition, the
current PTA president serves for a one-year term, and the Clearwater
Deanery nominates a representative to be approved by the Board of
Trustees for a one-year term. The Executive Committee consists of Board
officers, who are elected annually by the Board of Trustees. The
school’s charter from the state describes its purpose and makes the
Board accountable for the School. Written by-laws set the board’s size
and procedures.
Through Board involvement, a broad range of expertise is brought to the School.
Some trustees are drawn from the educational and business community;
others are current and past parents. The Head of School is a non-voting
member of the Board of Trustees.
