Getting involved in one’s community is integral to the development of a child into a well-rounded person. At Saint Paul’s, opportunities abound for students to take part in making their world a better place in which to live. In Lower School, children participate in “Planting A Seed,” a program designed to help students foster a lifelong attitude of caring about others. Throughout each year, children participate in a number of philanthropic activities. Students “adopt” families in need; make and fill Christmas stockings for underprivileged children; become pen pals with residents from local nursing homes; and participate in “Jump Rope for Heart” to promote awareness for the American Heart Association. Middle School students also participate in Beta Club, a national service organization dedicated to helping others in the local community. |
