Each middle school student is assigned to a small same gender, same grade, advisory group led by a faculty member. Groups meet informally during the week to discuss issues important to the student and to keep the student secure in the knowledge that there is always someone to turn to if problems arise. Advisors coordinate information concerning the student's progress among teachers, parents, and with the individual student. Students remain with the same advisor throughout all three years in middle school. |
