Annual Fund: A Margin of Excellence Details » Donate Online
Why is the Annual Fund so important? We are committed to providing an excellent education to all students, but tuition only covers 85% of the costs of running an independent school such as Saint Paul's. Our other primary sources of revenue come from income earned on our endowment, summer programs, and voluntary contributions to our Annual Fund.
Each year, we must close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each Saint Paul's student. Your unrestricted donation to the Saint Paul's Annual Fund is vital to the continued strength of the School. Our strengths are the special attributes that drove you to choose Saint Paul's: talented faculty, low student-teacher ratios, advanced curriculum, and the enrichment programs.
How does the Annual Fund work and who contributes? Each fall, we solicit parents, grandparents, alumni, and other friends of the School for gifts to the Annual Fund. All members of the SPS community are asked to help reach the dollar goal (the 2009-2010 goal is $250,000) needed for the operating budget and to participate in supporting the School.
How much should I contribute? Every contribution is important, irrespective of size, because it demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to meeting the School's budget. While large gifts are crucial to Saint Paul's economic stability, smaller contributions also add up to make a real difference. We encourage families to give as generously as you can as your gift's impact is felt by our students and teachers immediately.
Is there a tax benefit? Yes, these voluntary contributions allow you to make a tax deductible, extra payment of support for your children's education.
